A Look at Hyperbaric Therapy

If you are suffering from autism and have been prescribed medication for this condition, it may be time to consider hyperbaric oxygen therapy. This innovative treatment has been used to treat many conditions, including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), stroke, head trauma, and some mental illnesses. Research indicates that hyperbaric oxygen chambers may also be beneficial in treating autism. Autism is a growing trend and studies continue to reveal new aspects of this condition, which is why more research is being done on hyperbaric chambers as a possible treatment.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO), has been approved by the FDA as an effective medical treatment for a variety of illnesses and conditions. It's also a great alternative for the treatment of carbon monoxide poisoning, the symptoms of which mimic those of autism. In some cases, the hyperbaric chamber is even part of other treatment plans, which means that the methods used for this treatment are completely safe without any serious side effects to patients. Research has also shown that the natural healing properties of oxygen found in the atmosphere can be utilized to treat many ailments and medical conditions, including autism.

I first heard about hyperbaric oxygen therapy when I was looking at hyperbaric chamber equipment for my office at work. My supervisor, who was in training to become an industrial technician, told me about all the great stuff we could do at work using these chambers. He mentioned how the pure oxygen chambers could help with cuts and abrasions, cuts heal faster, and how the healing process would be much faster than with any other type of medical treatment. I began to research hyperbaric chambers for my own home and was amazed by what I learned. Hyperbaric chambers can be used to treat a number of conditions, which include but are not limited to; respiratory problems, allergies, cancer, asthma, COPD, fatigue, pain, joint and muscle aches, inflammation, nervousness, ringing in the ears, tinnitus, vomiting, stress, and ulcers.

Hyperbaric chambers can be used to heal wounds, too. After my boss told me this, I started researching and soon learned that hyperbaric oxygen therapies can heal burns and deep wounds much faster than traditional medical treatment. We have had our wounds repaired by a doctor with complete medical treatment at his clinic. However, when we had them done in the chamber, it took much less time than it would have taken at the doctor's office. He gave us all of his medical prescriptions for the treatments he said would work best for us. He also let me know that because of the high concentration of oxygen, we did not need any drugs or oxygen therapy.

I decided to give hyperbaric therapy near my home a try because the weather was warm, the breeze was nice, and it seemed like an interesting experience. The hyperbaric chamber showed a very high level of pressure of air, which caused cold temperatures to begin to surround the home. The first thing I noticed was that my skin and my hair felt very warm and I had a bit of a chill down there. It wasn't a bad feeling, but I figured I should take precautions before going through with the procedure.

After completing the hyperbaric chamber, my temperature decreased and I didn't feel cold at all. I still experienced some minor cold symptoms when I went back inside, but nothing serious. So I guess my experience is a positive proof of the idea that hyperbaric oxygen therapy can assist in the natural healing process as well as a proof that the atmosphere around the chamber can affect the natural healing process.

There is no question that hyperbaric treatments have assisted many individuals with various health conditions including chronic pain, anxiety, depression, etc. I know for a fact that I didn't have any of those symptoms when I was receiving hyperbaric treatments and I didn't have any fear of having any of those symptoms either. And, as I said above, I still have to take regular medication, but now I don't even miss the pills. Hyperbaric therapy might not work for everyone, but I think hyperbaric treatment is a promising new direction for medical treatment.

Hyperbaric chambers have also been used to help heal physical wounds. Divers have been receiving hyperbaric oxygen therapy to treat serious injuries for years. I'm sure other people who have been injured or hurt would agree with me when I say that hyperbaric oxygen therapy can help you recover much faster than if you received traditional medical treatment. Traditional medicine focuses on the symptoms and the healing process, but hyperbaric chambers stimulate your tissues so much that you heal much faster and with much more efficiency. If you need fast healing but don't want to undergo invasive surgery, then hyperbaric chambers may be right for you. Find a good doctor to help you decide if hyperbaric oxygen therapy is right for you.
